The apartments
The elegant apartments, MacRuairi, Tioram, Shiel and Somerled, form a traditional courtyard style property – Garmoran Square. They are named after local landmarks and historic local people.
The apartments are in a new building, opening September 2006, which has been designed to look like traditional croft byres from 100 years ago with a modern twist. It is sympathetic to the local landscape and other buildings, and uses local stone.
Tioram
3 bedrooms, sleeps 6. 2 double and 1 twin (south/south east facing overlooking Ben Resipole), large lounge, log burner, dining kitchen, cloakroom with WC, three bedrooms all en suite. Master with spa bath.
Somerled
3 bedrooms, sleeps 6. 2 double and 1 twin (south/west facing), large lounge, log burner, dining kitchen also with open fire, cloakroom with WC, three bedrooms all en suite. Master with spa bath.
Shiel
2 bedrooms, sleeps 4. 1 double and 1 twin (south facing overlooking Ben Resipole), open plan loft style lounge – dining – kitchen with 12ft ceiling, log burner, cloakroom with WC, two bedrooms, both en suite.
MacRuari
1 double bedroom, sleeps 2 (east facing), large open plan lounge - dining - kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with bath/shower. Open fires.
General information
- Under floor heating throughout by digital thermostat in each apartment.
- All linen and towels supplied.
- All electricity, oil, coal and wood inclusive.
- A mobile pay as you talk phone with £5.00 credit supplied.

Each of the apartments is comprehensively and luxuriously furnished.
Kitchens
Fitted with NEF appliances: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and all kitchen utensils.
A welcome hamper awaits your arrival with tea, coffee, bread, milk, salt and pepper plus some local treats. Cleaning supplies and dish washer tablets are also supplied.
Dining
Each apartment has a comfortable table and matching chairs for dining. MacRuairi and Shiel have an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Tioram and Somerled have a separate kitchen and dining room.
Lounges
A large LCD TV with satellite connection, a DVD player and CD stereo are provided, along with a selection of DVDs and CDs. Real fires or log burners and wifi broadband connections are also provided.
Bedrooms
Very comfortable beds and high quality mattresses await you, with excellent cotton bed linen. Master bedrooms have LCD TVs (not MacRauiri).
Bathrooms
All en suite with mains pressure power showers and double ended baths. Master bathrooms have bathrobes and Scottish spa products. Tioram and Somerled master bathrooms have spa baths.
Cloakrooms
These offer space for drying / storing outdoor clothes and equipment.
