Beaches

Moidart and Ardnamurchan can lay claim to some of the best beauty spots and beaches on the west coast. Singing Sands and Sanna Bay are a must and always come high recommended in our Visitor’s Books. We are also just 45mins drive from Camus Darach Beach – famously known as Ben’s Beach from the film Local Hero. Ardtoe 10 minutes away from Garmoran Square has several sandy coves great for exploring, everyone has a favourite one. The small beach at Glenuig – looking onto Samalaman Island is one of our favourite. The beach that surrounds Castle Tioram is good for walking on a searching for shells when the tide is out. Loch Sunart has more shingle beach rather than white sands, but these are a great place to explore rock pools. Bay of the Flies and Camus Toras for example.
